This product, used in automotive oxygen sensors, was originally designed as a Screw Machine product. The cost of the screw machine process for this small, yet critical, part priced our customer out of the highly competitive oxygen sensor market.
We designed a stamping process formulated by the specific material and dimensional requirements established by our customer. In the end, our solution expanded the boundaries of practiced metal forming. Our customer re-entered the market with an award winning, competitively priced product.
