Pictured above is Trans-Matic's Waterbury PC310 (left) and 400 ton Minster (right). Large metal stamping press capability is currently available at Trans-Matic's Holland, Michigan plant and also at our Mesa, Arizona plant.
Our large metal stamping press capability begins with several Waterbury Farrel presses in the 105 ton (95 tonne) to 300 ton (272 tonne) size. Our die set transfer press capabilities begin with 400 ton (363 tonne) Aida and Minster metal stamping presses and go up to 600 tons (544 tonne). Trans-Matic's large eyelet press and die set transfer press technology provides the custom deep drawn metal stampings capabilities to an overall length of 7” (177mm) and to accommodate raw material thickness up to .150” (3.81mm).
In September 2005, Trans-Matic acquired a 105 ton, 16 station, quick die change, eyelet press capable of producing metal stampings parts requiring a 5½ inch blank and up to 5 inches in overall length. This fact is complimented by the metal stamping tooling flexibility provided by the two quick change die-sets. This technology allows us to significantly reduce our set-up times between manufacturing orders and allows smaller production run quantities. These factors are critical to achieving our lean manufacturing objectives.
